Cape Capers tours CC has been trading for four years, and was formally established in September 2003. The office is located in Woodstock, Cape Town.
The company owns four vehicles and employs 4 free-lance driver-guides.In addition, we have access to a large range of vehicles through our network partners in the coach hire business. We are fully compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements and are affiliated to the following bodies:

- Cape Town Tourism
- South African Tourism

About the owner
Faizal Gangat is a third-generation South African and is married with two children. After many years in the family business, he obtained his Tourist Guiding Badge in 2001 and worked as an on-board guide for a large Tour Company in Cape Town. He soon realized that tourism was not benefiting the majority of Capetonians on the Cape Flats.
He began doing Township tours in his old Mercedes, and before long he had to formalize the business and purchase a Microbus.
Because of his commitment to transformation through tourism, he developed several Cultural Tourism Routes in the Townships, including small businesses like guest houses, restaurants, taverns, craft markets and community centers.
Faizal has total acceptance by local communities, is proficient in both the siZulu and isiXhosa languages and serves on a number of advisory committees in the townships. His assistance includes advise/tuition to school children, training of community tour guides, mentoring local businesses with marketing and management. He has also been recognized outside the townships, and has won several awards including the following:

- Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2004- Western Cape Finalist
- World Federation Of Tourist Guides Association- 2005 Congress in Melbourne

Faizal has recently become a grandfather, and looks forward to this new phase of his busy life.
