We depart Cape Town in the morning and travel up the West Coast towards Darling- where we visit Weylandts Wildflower Reserve, followed by a coffee stop in the town of Darling- owned by the famous comedian and actor Pieter Dirk Uys. We then travel to the outskirts of Darling and the Tienie Versveld Wildflower Reserve. We will have lots of time to wander around, enjoy the beauty not only of the flowers but also of the surrounding landscape, and take pictures.
We proceed to the West Coast National Park where we enjoy a traditional Cape lunch at the Geelbek Restaurant- own account. The Postberg Wildflower Reserve is our after-lunch, and final flower stop, before heading back to Cape Town- with a brief stop at Blaauwberg to view Table Mountain and the city from across Table Bay.
We arrive at the hotel in the early evening.
09h00 – Depart Cape Town- take R27 West Coast Road ( Namibia Road) Turn off to Mamre-R307.
09H45 – A few km past Mamre- WEYLANDS Wildflower reserve. Go into ENTRANCE gate, leave by EXIT gate- place donation in box near exit. Stay on the road, make two stops, drive on and let pax walk to the car. 45 mins here.
10h30 – Depart for Darling, go through town, quick stop at Evita se Peron (Darling Station) leave town on the R315 towards the R27.
10h45 – A few kms out of Darling, the Tinie Versveld Private Wildflower Reserve. No entry fees- great venue, many flowers, allow 45-60 mins.
11h45 – Depart- turn north onto R27, proceed until you see the West Coast National Park turn-off on left hand side. Go very slowly right through to Postberg Reserve, and stop at Tsaarbank car park for views over the Atlantic- 20 mins here.
13h30 – Arrive the Geelbek Restaurant at the Geelbek Visitor Center- lunch 60 mins- own acc.
14h30 – Depart for Cape Town,
15h15 – Stop at Blaauberg and stop for the views of Table Mt Across the bay- 15 mins.
16h30 – Arrive Cape Town – END SERVICES
